DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two) Chelsea Dash Clocks: (1) Chelsea Clock Co., Boston for Bigelow, Kennard, & Co., Boston, "Special Auto" car clock, 8 day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement with 2.75in silvered dial in a brass case which in turn is held within a brass dash-mounted case. Serial number 14117, c1906; (2) Chelsea Clock Co., Boston for Steward & Clark Mfg. Co., Chicago, 8 day, time only, spring-driven brass movement with a 3.5in silvered dial in a brass tub for mounting in a vehicle or instrument panel. Serial number 42828, c1909.
CONDITION:
(1) silver has been rubbed off much of the dial. Dash mounted case has been attached to a wood board for wall mounting. Early model movement ticks, but was not tested long term. (2) Nice patina on brass tub. Slightly scratched beveled glass. Silvered dial a bit tarnished. Ticks and stops.
